Well this winters project is nearly finished, it might not be to everyone's taste but I'm delighted. Can't wait to get it back this weekend praying for the sun.

Thanks all, I am very pleased.
No I didn't do it myself, far beyond my meager talent.

Funny enough I was Just talking about them today, unfortunately the guy who used to make them no longer has a wedge so no longer makes them, there is a market for them as your not the 1st person to ask about them.

Very nice indeed, what did you settle on in terms of the ICE? Did you have to fit a separate GPS antenna?

There was an antenna with the unit and whilst the dash was out it was run up behind and mounted in the front corner of the windscreen. As for the unit I took a risk on an unknown name Xomax it's a German company spoke to them and they were very reassuring and it came with the most uptodate maps. I've just used it today for the first time, it sounds superb and does everything Bluetooth, USB, 2 micro SD slots, I've not driven it yet so not sure how well the sat nav works but it found everything I tried so looks good so far. :-)

They do look cool like that but makes sure the copper inserts that are in the outlets are not corroded first..They can be replaced if they have although they can be a bugger to get out...Ziga
