Been polishing the plenum and about to rebuild, unfortunately as usual did not take photos before striping down. Could anyone please upload a picture (or schematic)specifically showing where the springs are mounted on the shaft which ultimately opens and closes the air flap?
secondly any one know where I can gat a gasket for the cold start injector?

Thanks for that - yes yours must be a later model - mine doesn't have the 2 long springs but has 2 springs around the shaft where yours is showing one?
Better get back polishing after seeing your gleaming ancillaries

Hi Mate..Yours should have the long springs as they are the throttle return springs..I didn't have them on mine but do now and it makes a difference...

As for the coiled spring there should be a small metal disc with what looks like an "L" shape on it..It has a rectangle hole and sits on the outside of the little butterfly throttle stop with the "L" facing outward...The coil spring has a small hook on one end that sits in the little hole on the stop and then wraps around the hexagonal nut twice before being held by the protruding stop on the throttle housing/Bracket.
You can just about see it on mine...

(Click on the 2nd pic twice)

You can see one throttle return spring on but I'm getting another tomorrow..If you want a couple i will pick them up for you and send them out.

The cold start injector gasket is the same one that is used on the Ford Capri/Sierra/Granada...It only needs to be air tight..
I will be able to pick you up one or two on thursday and post them out to you if you are not in a major hurry...Cheers...Ziga

Sorry, but don't know the answer to that. It's just a pic. I thought might be helpful from my photo library....does look good though.
