Gents, been having a good look at the front suspension bushes and in particular the amount of movement they all have. During my enthusiastic drive yesterday there was some creaking and thumps coming from upfront. As such thinking of stripping it down and fitting new bushes throughout. I've read all previous reviews regarding poly verse rubber and also checked out the Ford forums. Flo-flex do a complete kit for £62. Some of the Ford boys say avoid and an equal number say all fine and dandy. Do any of you have any experience of these type, good or bad?
Thanks.

Hi Mate...I have heard that Flowflex are too soft and don't last...Superflex are better quality...Powerflex can be a bit too hard and in fairness sourcing original type rubber would be the best option, After all they have lasted this long...Ziga

The only real issue with the original rubber type is that most of the ones for sale are new production from Asia and the Shore value (hardness) of the rubber may not be what it was on the genuine articles.
If you could find new old stock Boge or Metalastik that would be the way to go... I bet there are stacks at autojumbles but you'd need the patience of a saint to buy parts that way.
I've renewed all my front bushes with new rubber rather than polyurethane and am in the process of doing so at the rear - maybe I'll be doing it all again in 18 months, we'll see...
