I think poppy may well be a 3.9ltr.....

Hi Peeps..Recently i had some work done which included fitting all new hoses on the fuel rail..By mistake i gave them a 2.2bar FPR to fit which caused pinking and lean running so i swapped it over for a 2.5bar which is what a 3.5 should have but the symptoms still persisted so i fitted an adjustable FPR and adjusted it to 38psi at WOT..2.1 bar at idle..(Approx)..I decided to go and have the air and fuel ratio's checked today and if healthy go on a dyno..The first run was running a bit rich so we back the fuel off a little...But i must say I'm very pleased with the result...Chris did a vid for me which i will link once i get it...Cheers...Ziga
FPR

All strapped in and ready to go...

Dyno graph...

PS: I forgot to mention...If we can get 10 or more cars then they will do a Dyno for £35 or a Dyno and fuel to air ratio check for £40..It would have to be on a Sunday...

Them's nice numbers Zig. If you fancy a few more there's always this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TVR-Power-turbo-kit-Bran...

The TVR BHp numbers ... old chestnut!
When I was getting ready to do the "Gredge 500" transplant I pulled this together based on a bit of research:
That favourite issue of Wedge RV8 BHp numbers... I always wince when I read that a stock 350i is doing 250 BHp... not in the real world!
Now we all like to have a big number attributed to our pride and joy but after a bit of research with Land Rover - TVR - Rolling road owners and some so called experts. I have attempted to pull together a table of realistic average figs based on normally aspirated Essex - Cologne and RV8 engines with at the crank numbers, which may or may not have been breathed on by the BHp fairies at TVR and have middle of the road cams and a little fettling of ports and air filters etc
Engine cc BHP
280i 2.8 140
2.9i Essex 2.9 155
350i 3.5 168
350 SE 3.9 210
390 SE 3.9 220
400 SE 4.0 225
420 4.2 240
450 SE 4.5 250
500 5.0 280
Clearly those who have fitted stealth cams, mega squirt and after market ECU's and Mark Adam chips etc are not included

Here is the Video of the Dyno run...The black smoke is the over fuelling not a ring failing...After Chris adjusted the fuel pressure back a bit there was only a little bit of smoke and to be fair it is still a tad too rich but hey ho..Them rollers are bloody noisy...Ziga
