Sportted Tasmin Coupe in Italy

I was just over to Europe and saw a single TVR as I started in Barcelona and worked through France and in to Italy.

It was on the roof of a building visible from the Autostradle in Umbria area from what I can determine. I was on a bus with no camera at hand so unfortunately didn't snatch a shot, but it was a very early one with the original disk like wheels, and was dark, likely dark blue.

Anybody know the car?

It shared the roof with a couple of other cars, one being an MGB-GT. I would have to assume it was a classic car company of sorts.

Unfortunately back to Canada and the snow, and no TVR weather in the near term.

Tried for some time - grabbed a photo a couple of minutes later to get some land marks, found them, but back tracking can't find it. Perhaps the day google passed no cars were on the roof.

If I had been driving a car I certainly would have gone seen it.

I didn't have my camera ready, but within a couple of minutes (so I guess a couple of Kilometres) I saw a Harley Davidson dealer, and took a couple of shots of other businesses along the route. I was travelling eastbound, and the business was off to my right.

I will need to try 'walking' back west on Google Streetview again, and see if I can spot it.

I have walked from the tunnels by the lake all the way to the Harley Dealers and have spotted nothing

Me too. I think he was so busy watching little squealing fiats on the autostrada that he fell asleep in the tunnels and dreamt of fine british sports cars soaring above the rooftops like spitfires! Then woken up by some loud american harley!

I wasn't the only one that saw it!!! My son Stirling (who happens to also be a TVR owner) was sitting two rows back and saw it.

I have walked that road several times now, I suspect the building didn't have cars on it when the google car passed by. My next try will be to get the street names there and search them in conjunction with terms like MGB and Tasmin to see what I can find.

But for now I am off to Miami - likely no TVRs on the roof down there, but thankfully also no snow!!!
