Best plugs for 350i
Discussion
Hi All
I know I have seen a thread for this before but cant remember where, various ones come up on ebay for NGK which is what is in at moment, when I had them out forgot to write down what they were. Should I use B7 ECS?, BPR 6ES or BPR 5ES all seem reasonable prices what is the difference?
Cheers Deke

Hi Mate..The differences in plugs are determined by their number/Code.
The typical designation is as follows:
The letter combination (1-4) before the heat rating indicates the thread diameter, hexagon spanner width and the design.
The 5th position (number) stands for the heat rating.
The 6th letter identifies the thread length.
The 7th letter contains data about special spark plug construction features.
The 8th position, another number, codifies special electrode distances.
I would use BC7ES...iridium plugs are more expensive but much better for longevity....Ziga

Denso W20EPR-U in mine which are equal to the heatgrade 6 NGK's. You could get the heatgrade 7 ones though if you so wish. (do read up on spark plug heatgrades) Iridium ones are really nice, don't ever have to replace them again and they make things a little smoother imo. But iridium is expensive compared to normal ones.
Be sure to get yourself a gapping tool if you don't have one yet and gap them all at 0.8 to 0.9 millimetres when you get them.
