Well after a _really_ uninspiring drive to work this morning - slightly damp and always stuck behind some plodder - I managed to open her up on the way home.

Bejaysus! I think it's _too_quick_!!!

It seems even quicker than I remember when I first got it, and revs freely to 6k (naughty I know as the blower should only go to about 5400.) Also for some reason the boost now seems to rise a bit at the top end, whereas before it started to drop after 4800 rpm.

Maybe all the work I've done fettling things has done some good over and above the "root cause" fix? Plus I wonder if this pipe has been causing a slight problem all along??

I may have to sort out a shift warning alarm or get the rev limiter working again...

Sounds good...When i looked into what capacity the S102 was equivalent to it came back 1.9ltr..So its like bolting another 2ltrs on or thereabouts..(Minus the parasitic effect of course)...What boost is yours set to..4-6psi?.....Ziga

It comes out to around 6 psi - I have a gauge on there that shows vaccuum vs boost - only a noddy pressure gauge but it shows about 2 psi at 1500 rpm rising to apound 5 at 2500 through to 5000 then it starts to climb again... whereas before it used to fall off at the top.

A few more days and I'll be used to it again I expect ;^) and no I didn't dare look but I expect you can see the fuel gauge dropping in real time...
