Very nice, but will it really sell for anywhere near that price?

Personally I think good examples like this should be this money, we are too used to exempting Wedges not fetching the kind of money any other car if this spec would bring!?

Great condition and low miles. My old 400SE sold recently for c£15k with more than double that mileage.

Nice example. Cars like this are only worth what people are prepared to pay . If you want one where nothing needs doing to it. You pay your money to buy it. Pay less, be prepared to spend more on putting it right. Hope it does sell for around the asking price. It will work wonders for the wedge valves.

is it impossible to tidy up the engine bay a bit , mines the same ( in bits at the moment so hopefully can make it look less cluttered when back together ) , this car looks great but all those pipes and wires all over the place .....
My battery is in the boot and a new square alloy header tank is going where the battery came out from.
Cheers

At least it's original - apart from the air duct from the AFM to the plenum...

20k isn't enough though - if he gets that he won't get back what he paid out for all that work!

About time Wedge values hardened up a little.. Considering what you get, and the condition that 400SE is in, I think it's certainly worth getting close to that price. Stunning 400!

Don't Wedge prices generally follow prices for Chimeras?

Close I'd say.. though prices for the big Wedges & SEACs etc.. I would say are becoming higher.
