All, numbers for this weekend to lift the body off are low so it looks like I'll will inch it up and off job and have the body hovering over the chassis and then wheel the chassis out (means I can keep the body in doors)

I can go and buy some tall axle stands but wondered if anyone local ish has some that I could borrow for a wee while.....happy throw some beer tokens for the trouble?

I took the body off of the Taimar on my own!

Slowly inching it up with jacks and axle stands and blocks of wood, the with a pull lift in the rafers of the garage and finalyy secured with 2 tonne ratchet straps for good measure!

Yeah is the garage roof strong enough for two cable hoists?

Attach in the boot where the mounting holes are (put a strengthening bar underneath) and at the front where that thick crossmember is.

Then you can winch it up.

If garage not strong enough then make up some timbers - I have 2x4 doubled up above my engine bay ready for hoisting if necessary.

Good news, just been offered to borrow a "body lift dolly" so I can jack it up and wheel it about if need be

leaves me space underneath for the chassis to be worked on

God I love the TVR community lol smile

Hi Glen. Hopefully my email got through this time. Offer to help still stands if you need it. Also lift to Burghley if you want to get some V8 TVR fun.
