Well after a disastrous BAR run, I managed to get power to the pump and get it going.
It sounds like a bag of nails, rattling and whining so much it can be heard above the engine.
Any tips on fitting? I've a full tank of fuel in it.

clamp off the hose before the pump then you won't need to drain the whole tank.

Disconnect the battery and then as jingle say's mate...Clamp off the hose, But do it from the tank to the pump and the feed from the pump to the filter as the filter will be full of fuel...
Undo the clamp bolt..(10mm i think) and remove the pump, Then undo the jubilee clips holding the hose on..Gently pull them off...Its good to have some new clips to hand.

Replace the pump with the new one..Making sure that the terminals are nice and tight...Once its all back together remove the metering head plug and put on to 1st position on the ignition..DO NOT CRANK..Check for leaks...All good then fire her up....Ziga

Hi guys,
The bosch pump on the wedge parts wiki is obsolete. Replacement parts are made by sytec and aps. The aps one is half the price, I know you get what you pay for and Ziga you said to avoid the cheap one, but how bad can it be?

Well sometimes buying CHEAP is false economy..6 months..(Or less) down the line and you might be buying another one..You might not but there is always that risk...Ziga

When you buy the expensive one the only guarantee that you have is that you have less money! Rip-off britain again.

The best outcome is that the cheaper one is of higher (or at least adequate) quality and reliability, and we pass around recommendations between us.

I think you will find Adam its because we allow crap to be bought in this country which pushes the premium up on named brands, This applies across the board even to the work place..With people..Cheap labour is a false economy as those who are under paid frequently turn to crime to pay the bills...And although low wages are a crime within itself the government can still enforce a law that says those who are on benefits must work voluntary in 6 months time...
SOLUTION: Just chuck all the illegal immigrants and benefit leeches who have no fixed abodes who shouldn't be here anyway..OUT....Stop crippling the disabled and concentrate on helping the youth in to work...Next year they introduce PIP which is means testing..This is not the 1950's..How can they do that in this day and age...The only thing that is cheap is LIFE....Ziga

I have found the Sytec stuff very good quality, and not just same crap stuff at a higher price.
I've got a full Sytec system on the Racer (be it a Rv8 system) but it's been faultless.

You may also want get a pre-filter as the standard filter in the swirl pot comes loose and stops working. if this is the case your and you don't your get rust in the new pump and it will fail regardless of the make.

You can use this 320788643822 ebay or get the sytec one with cleanable element,
