Hi I'm trying to find an original oil reservoir for my supercharger on the SX are there any kicking around ? Or failing not being able to find an original one is there an alternative that I can use for the Sprintex one ??

Something like this is quite similar:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycle-Mini-Brake-Re...

but you will need to put a pipe adapter into the cap too to allow the top oil pipe to connect on.

If you want to make it more authentic-looking there are some secondhand ones too.

Hi guys,
I also need to find something as my lid is a bit oval and I lost the rubber seal, I've replaced the seal but because of the out of shape lid it leaks a bit and if I boot it it must pressurise it a bit because it sprays oil out on the manifold and shall we say smokes a bit!
Keep me posted Martin coz if you get an ally one made count me in.
Cheers
Adam

Alloy is a beautiful metal and always gives me great pleasure to polish it to a bling bling..You will need a breather hole in the top and possibly a pipe to where I'm not sure as even the one that came with Delilah's kit used to squirt oil out every time i booted it..Well messy...Ziga

There's a top pipe on mine that goes back into the blower. Mine drops fluid onto the power steering belt if it leaks which isn't good.... don't overfill and do the lid up tight.

Here's another one that could work ! Dose the system need to be vented ? Or should it be a sealed system ? As they all seem to vent oil in one way or another !

We'll have to find a solution, even if we get something and modify it, 24 years old and mine is rooted......
The pics you've posted looks good to work with, seem like its doable.
The return pipe off the blower fits to a plate in the lid that has a small hole in it, so it needs a vent but maybe we could fit a pipe to that which can be directed down under the car.

Hi Adam, yes bud I think either one of those is do able and venting wouldn't be a problem either as you say a small pipe would work ! It could even go into a small catch tank !

While looking I found this as well http://www.jjcraceandrally.com/kit-car/brake-maste...
I like the look of this one because the oil would clearly be visible and there are fittings available to make the cap work ! I'm going to order one of these first to see if it's doable thumbup here's a link to the others I found... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KiWAV-Brake-Fluid-Reserv... and the other one... http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/billet-brake-reservoir

It maybe a little to big as well, I have one on its way so will see how much room there is to play with ! Are you going to order one of the others Adam ?

Not sure, just went out to the garage for a measure up

The metal disk measures 39mm dia the o/a height is 90mm
I can't really see why the rubber seal is there when there is a hole in the cap?????
Perhaps I should just fit a breather pipe to the hole and see if that fixes it.

Yeah the little vent hole is a bit strange but I expect it allows any pressure buildup to vent out rather then through any oil seals.

The reservoir should be about level with the blower and the level then reflects the oil level in the blower, and should be about halfway up. The window is a very good idea because you can check it's got some without taking the top off and letting crud in.

I expect you'll have to drill a hole in the top for the top pipe and allow a "swivelly" type of connection so you can undo the lid. I don't expect it needs to seal fully airtight (as per the little vent hole). On mine after a "caning" there's a definite haze of ATF in the garage after I park up so it must vent a bit of vapour.
