Or put the Gas Struts back on, but with them on it hard to close the bonnet on your own !
They must be rated way higher than the original 100N each then, I'd be worried about them ripping the end fittings out...tweety said:
Like the look of all the carbon, could that 90* carbon pipe be used for the normally aspirated inlet system and if so where are they available?????
Cheers, Al.
Hi Al I know carbon fibre isn't everyone thing but I really like it as a product and is so versatile !! I had a polished alloy 90* bend but because of the added heat of the supercharger the 90* alloy bend was to hot to touch and as carbon fibre has a low heat transfer it was a win, win situation, A it looks great and B it serves a purpose !! And the carbon air box for obvious reasons as ( Adam Oz2 ) has demonstrated ! Here's a link for the carbon bend Cheers, Al.

Haha I guess the SX now has a name ( Triggas Broom ) lol cheers bud!Been nosing around making a few parts but to start it is a bit pricey and fidley making the moulds, nothing serious as engine bits, maybe the ashtray to see how it goes and that comes in at a reasonable price for a mould to waste a few shekels on. On me roundtoit list at the moment.
Seems there are a few options for making but what temps can these parts hold out at? Just wondering.
The kits for laying it with resin as if fibre glass do allow for colouring. Can you do that for baking one wonders

Anything carbon on a Wedge is good, and that looks lovely!
My SEAC is part carbon fibre, and I've always thought..an entire body in carbon, with clear coat..no paint would look the dogs!
When my lottery numbers come up, im having a carbon SEAC or maybe a racing Tuscan made ... the whole lot is going too to someone like Gas Monkey garage for the engine and transmission / suspension work .... I'd be interested in any carbon items you might be considering making, if you were thinking of making for others aswell??
So far I have the dash and radio panel and gearknob so any other interior bits would be great...also considered getting the door mirrors covered but its finding somebody to do it....
Cheers, Al.
