What Brake Upgrades have you all had done ??
Discussion
Good value front upgrades below (what's on my car), rear is a twin piston set up designed for a much heavier jag so as long as they are working well and got decent pads they should be fine

Mintex 1144's all round
Braided Hoses all round
Dot5.1 brake fluid
Brakes work well on trackdays so no probs for road use, only thing I want to do is add a pipe to take cold air to the rears as they are solid discs and do get hot on track days.
Basically as I see it, the brake pedal has a lot of travel when compared to more 'modern' cars so it always feel like poor braking for the first few miles. Once I have reset brain they are pretty confidence inspiring

No, they only just fit under 18" wheels. If I'm honest it was done as much for aesthetic reasons as anything else. Because I already has the 18" wheels and they were of an open design the standard discs looked like milk bottle tops.
To get the braking balance back afterwards I had to fit an adjustable brake bias valve. I also experimented with different master cylinders, brake vacuum canisters etc. to try and get a more modern 'feel' to the brakes i.e. more sensitivity with less pedal travel. Again if I'm honest I never quite achieved this although the brakes were certainly an improvement.

different vehicle, but same uprights/front suspension though
I have these fitted up front

to look like this fitted up

Done a few track days and they have held up very well.
Use mintex 1144 as well, and dot5.1 fluid and they haven't faded once on me yet
And all relatively cheap if you know someone to do the machining work for the brackets and redrilling the discs. And the discs, pads and calipers are off an e38 7series so don't command a huge price premium either

I have the same upgrade as this on the front. Stops really well, straight and true. Had a bit of trouble sourcing replacement pads initially but EBC managed to establish which ones they were.http://www.wms-brakes.co.uk/

My gripe is that WMS struggle with communication. If they were btter at that then I'me sure we'd see the product around more. From memory there's no phone numbe just an email address and that doesn't necessarily get answered!!
