Shocks and springs all round
Discussion
Hi All
My car is still really jittery on uneven surfaces. Hit a pothole mid corner while pressing on and it gets a little out of shape. I thought this may have been down to excessive tyre pressures when I was running a particularly stiff manual steering rack. But now I've fitted the PAS and dropped the tyre pressures it still not much better.
So I'm thinking of replacing all the shocks and springs. What's helped make up my mind is the near side rear spring is measuring about 20mm longer than the off side ( on the car). And the near side rear is riding a little high.
It's all new rubber bushes up front and all new poly at rear. Saw the recommended on here somewhere?
So recommendations on spring and shocks supplier. I'm not looking to spend a fortune so no Nitrons I guess. And those of you who know me will agree I'm no maniac behind the wheel so just looking for a nice all round setup.
I've seen ML Performance do all the bits. I've used Neil before and he's great but these seem a little steep, especially when you factor in the dreaded VAT.
I've also read that some other suppliers provide the wrong spring lengths totally ruining the look of the cars?
So any suggestion on where and how much please?
Cheers Karl.
