Something for the weekend Sir?
Discussion
Well Sunday anyway :-
Battlesbridge classic car show
5 Maltings Rd, Battlesbridge, Essex SS11 7RF
9am- 5pm
Went last year not expecting much as it's not very well promoted or advertised at all, so was surprised to find its MASSIVE!!
At a guess 500-600+ Cars, mostly the usual 50s 60s stuff ( triumph's mg's Jag's Ford's etc ) but there's also a few custom cars kit cars and some rare and unusual stuff mixed in too. There was also a large American (stock and custom) section and a big auto jumble area 60-70 stalls selling the usual key rings baseball caps etc but also what I would term "proper" auto jumble (1920's Morris wings 1940's vauxhall grille that sort of thing)
Best of all it was Cheap - - £5 adult admission accompanied under 16's free! So I'm guessing it'll be similar again this year
Took me around 3 hours just to have a quick skim round it all
Well worth a visit if you're in the area and have a couple of hours spare
Providing it's not lashing down I'll see you there
Ps it's also worth going round the public parking area before you leave - it's amazing what fantastic cars come along but don't take part in the showing area.
Cheers Ron
