Hi All.

This may be a silly question but I was having thoughts about trying to make the edges around the bonnet water tight just to try and stop rain etc.. from collecting around the battery area / trying to make the engine bay less prone to letting water in..

I know this may be tricky to do in practice and the gap may also provide a vent for hot air whilst driving..

Has anyone had a go at this or is it a completely wrong idea to pursue ??

Cheers
Dom

Now there's a thoughtidea
Rather than block up the gaps you'd have to come up with a system of water channels me thinks. Osma?

Mmmm. Very good point. I spend more time sponging water out from the engine bay than I do actually washing the car. Heat escape however is good to have. Food for thought.
