BBWF South East Convoy

Some of you may have seen Chappers post last week regarding travelling to the fest. I would like to try to organise a convoy from the south east again, and hopefully rendezvous with Chappers and Co. at the services at Beaconsfield before going on to Ettington.
Nothing set in stone here but would think a similar format to last year :-
Meet at Thurrock services
M25 anti clock to M40 and Beaconsfield
Meet with Chappers stretch legs and refuel
M40 to Ettington

Will post times etc up closer to the day and would ask that if you intend coming along to post up your names then

Think that about does it.

Have had a quick conflab with chapperssx and I've got a provisional itinery sorted for a Southern convoy to the BBWF

Provisional route pretty much follows as last year :-

Meet at Thurrock services around 8 for a 8:15 depart
Follow M25 north bound (anticlockwise) to M40
M40 to beaconsfield services arriving around 9:30
Stretch legs an refuel leaving beaconsfield around 9:45 ish
Take m40 north bound onwards arriving at the BBWF around 11

As said only loose timings etc I think we can be a bit flexible if needed
Please pop your name down where relevant just so we know your coming
Hope there'll be a few of us the more the merrier !

Currently the boot contains spare AFM, ECU, new leads and complete Dizzy and timing light!

And I'm out! Seems I have a cracked manifold along with various blown joints that were all gobbed up by previous owner and a bit of booting has evacuated the gob! Dropped in to Pipecraft but he wouldn't even take 5 seonds to look at it - just said ring and book in and we'll take a look.

Unfortunately the booting also highlighted a "pa-pa-pa-pa-pa" misfire on hitting 5k rpm or above. Hey-ho....

Me too Mark but I've lost my nerve with the car - I'm not sure whether to persevere or just try and out it now with faults and take a big hit.

Not the rev limiter (has it got one?) as when I first got the car and the ignition module was behaving itself it would ping round to 6k happily enough. Pretty sure it's one cylinder.

Quick off topic question for you Smash - As I've a hankering for a bit more power(don't we all) and I like Black wedges would you consider a Px of a 87 350i in blue against your 390? You're probably sick of Wedges at the mo and probably just want rid but thought id ask....

Really do appreciate the offer Ron but I'm afraid you're right, I'd never have another wedge.
