Sump gasket

Would appreciate advice
Changed the gasket (new cork) covered both sides with hylomar blue
When tightening the bolts abut 1\4"of the gasket is showing all the way around the perimeter of the sump. Tightened bolts to the correct torque. Do you think there will be sufficient gasket still making contact to make a good seal?

Should be ok but the trick is to not over tighten the nuts and use a circular sequence like the head gasket. Most oil leaks on the sump are due to over zealous tightening!

Sounds about right - I see some peeking out when I look under there.
