I'm gutted........

I maybe forced to sell my 390 due to where I live putting parking permits in and around the car park which go live on the 2nd June 2014.

My daily hack will have 1 of the permits (2 per flat) and my wife's car will have the other.........

This is just a feeler to see if anyone would be interested.......

Of course the big question is how much do I advertise it for ???

I have now got her running consistantly nice but as some of you who know the car there is a "to do" list.

Solid chassis/excellent engine but as I say there are things to do.....

Any questions/interest/thoughts appreciated...........

Get a council garage? Even if its a bit of a distance away, that's got to be better than selling it just because of a parking permit!

You can supply the council with a copy of all of the V5's registered at the house and they HAVE to give you a permit to cover all cars.

No one can tell you how many cras you are allowed to have!

Mark/Jon,
Have already looked into that and to be honest having it parked in a garage somewhere else wouldn't really work for me.
Due to time restraints etc. I like having having the convenience of parking it where I live.
If it was parked in a garage somewhere that involves a trip just to get to the 390 I fear I would hardly ever get the time to use it. I have had the luxury I suppose of jumping in it whenever I want, even just to pop to Tesco.
Also I can't really afford to start paying for the rental of a garage every month either.

Is anyone in the market for a 390 at the moment ?

It is always a shame when someone has to sell their much loved Wedge due to circumstances. There is no car quite like a Wedge, especially a V8 one.

This is probably bit of a long shot, but I have a guy living in Germany who seems very interested in buying my Wedge due to it's rareity, being one of only 25 made. My Wedge is in excellent condition so if he makes the trip, I reckon he'll buy it. If he does, I am after buying a mk1 Tuscan. The one I'm after is the yellow one on PH. However, they are traders, so having no part exchange I would expect a cash purchase deal from them. If they accept that and give me a deal, then I will buy it, but if they don't then I will need a TVR asap as I always like to have a weekend toy. This is where you come in. I would then be in a position to negotiate a deal with you as your car is known, and a gorgeous colour. That is if you still have the car by then. I know it's a long shot, but the ball could get rolling as early as next week. Either way good luck with the sale of your car, as it seems like a good one and you'll probably find a buyer without any trouble. This is where my situation stands.

Hi Ian
Good to hear from you - you've not been posting much lately. Sorry to hear of your problem about the parking , bloody Thurrock council ! As said earlier I think your best hope is one of the neighbours not using their 2 spots and being able to " borrow " one of them. If all else fails then I wish you luck with your sale. If love to have your 390 if only for that magnificent engine, although a little tatty at the edges it goes like stink and sounds awesome. Sorry to possibly be losing you from the wedge fold. You do realise of course that every time you see me at Tesco your going to regret selling the beast biggrin

Sorry Ian
My apologies no offence meant - I should have phrased that a little differently. Yep still up for the convoy to the fest - not much take up yet I'll bump the thread again tonight. Cars running well - I'm booked for the rolling road and I'm hoping she shows that the engines quite healthy other than the bit of tappet noise I've got. Glad you've sorted the parking problem so quickly - bloody councils think they're god sometimes Thurrock being one of the worst I think - problems I had with them over my loft conversion frown
Cheers Ron

On sale for only 2 hours 10 minutes exactly - someone phone Norris McSquirter - gotta be a record!

So....any chance of a tow to the fest?
