I guess if TVR had a wind tunnel back then then the bonnet vents would of been perfected..I found on my 280i that had a top vent on the bonnet and two lower bonnet vents that in summer the under bonnet temperatures were actually very high..I could see the concept behind it but the radiator fan that was used originally just don't cut...The air flow in the nosecone when moving was blocked by the radiator.
However on my 350i i have no bonnet vents and when the radiator fan comes on you can feel the hot air rising up the length of the under bonnet and coming out of the top curl on the top of the bonnet..The airflow may still be restricted slightly in the nosecone but it definitely feels cooler under there then the 280i ever did...(Although that was remedied with two hundred and fifty pounds worth of turbo Kenlowe boost fan)....Ziga
