Rear brake caliper
Discussion
Hi all
Need your help on something . Probably been on here before but just want to confirm.1989 350i rear brake calipers. Am I right in saying Jag XJ6. Where is the best place to get pistons for calipers as I need to refurbish mine. Have seen the seals on the bay but not pistons. Had a seized caliper few months back, lots of smoke and no pedal. Took out pads and freed up pistons, put in new pads. Seen some pics on here of rusty pistons so for piece of mind have decided to change them in case it happens again.
Many Thanks
Steve

Yes that's what I've heard but I'm no jag expert.
There are some on the flea right now item number 141239346966 but as the seller says:
These pistons changed during the Series 2 production (About 1972-73).
These are the early Flat Top type pistons where there's No Metal Ring round the dust boot and the dust boot is a bellows shape on this early type.
So I guess our are the later type?
