..another MOT second attempt !

so this time the car didn't break down ...failed but nothing major luckily - reflectors in the headlamps completely shot so will order new ones - I think theyre generic Cibie 7" H4's ??

had a weird one on emmissions - CO was 9.4 so way to high, but tester said he couldn't fail me on it as in the MOT system my car shows as built 1/1/1971 !! strangely DVLA shows original build date unknown ?

Strange...Why would it come back at 1971...That means its tax exempt then...Result...Ziga

ha yes that occurred to me !!

I wonder if its some sort of default value as they don't have a build date down for it ?

Nice one! That would presumably make your numberplate illegal too? (Strictly speaking that is.... unless you have already put an older one on it....)

I don't think you can be "done" for it though - their mistake ;^)

We had a secretary at work whose casr had just passed the MOT and we noticed her numberplates were wrong, well the back one was correct but the front had two digits transposed..... it had been like that for years..
