the front screen (and rear tailgate) on my FHC leak like a sieve (has caused the bottom of handbrake bracket to be VERY rusty !) ...

the RAC man who rescued me the other week said not to use silicon sealant as it reacts with the original glue - any suggestions for what to put round the edge of the screen - can you use that Sikaflex stuff, or something else ?

I use Sikaflex to hold together most of the water treatment plants in this country so think it should be suitable for a bit of rain. Check their website for best product. I always used 1 A but this has now been replaced.

Mine leaks into the footwells, and whenever I fix one leak water finds another way in. Have you checked all the hose/cable holes in the bulkhead? Door seals ok? Mine are new but still aren't that good as the window frame isn't an accurate fit to the A pillar.

Rear screen surround has a couple of drainholes for which I have special tool to clear, other issue being that the C pillars don't match the curve of the glass so the fit is never going to be that good. On top of that, condensation can be so bad it drips into the rear deck.

If you do find a way of keeping the rain out let me know, I just try not to get it wet.

ps. looks lovely in black.
