Well an hour on line found some fantastic inspiration for my project

These are off a Porsche 944, GTS version

I love the way they are a "unit" and still have an edge gap all the way around

Just got to knock up a set now lol

Hi pal

Are you saying these would fit a wedge?

I doubt these would fit a Wedge as they look the wrong shape. If you were to make something similar to fit a Wedge, I think two square lights in each unit would look even nicer.

'twas inspiration chaps, inspiration :-)

The lamp units themselves are hella which I believe Howard used on the white elephant

I seem to recall 2 wide would be a struggle on a normal wedge

I wondered about that kind of setup, but came to the conclusion that a standard (early) wedge doesn't have enough depth/angle in the bonnet line for the headlights to both fit and actually light up the road. (I hope that makes sense !)

From photos, it looks to me like white elephant has a sharper angled nose ?? But then I think the later 'short nose' wedges might too....

Ha.. I've just been down to the car about 5 mins ago to try and see that exact thing.
Would it be possible to put two smaller round lights?
When you say early? What years you thinking?

Pay attention mate..blah...He did say in another post that he didn't want round lenses...I looked at that option as you can buy a twin "Dominator" headlight lens unit for a motorcycle.

I liked the twin square option for the Wedge as it fits in shape wise..The round ones remind me of the white Wedge with the frog eyes...Weren't keen on that but thats my opinion..The back however was awesome...Which is what most other road users should only see of you anyway.. smile
What about the twin rectangle ones that i posted up the other day...It took my hours to find em and nothing was said...rolleyes....hehe

Frogeyed Wedge....I would prefer the front lights if they were sunken in rather than protruding..Gives the Wedge a mad face but spoils the profile a bit..Again this is my personal view...

Nice rear though...

Reply from above - early = ones with the bolt on front bumpers. To me, after that they are 'short nose'.

Not sure if front moulding is different or not, looks rounder, but could be the lack of bumper....

I was wondering if there are any super slim (i.e. narrow) square headlights - probably are, but how much do they cost.....

Yes I did like those

what I liked was how the pod cover / lid was hinged at the front and dropped down to reveal the lights

all these ideas are in the melting pot

this version does keep the original look of the car but will still need motors etc........the Perspex pod version will be simpler but more of a pain to make

choices choice, good job I've plenty of time lol
