A brilliant day yesterday.

Started @ Woodall services @ 10:00AM with Colin, and managed to get to the M69 / A5 junction before I had to put the roof on.

I thought my wiper had failed, however I soon realised the reason it wasn't clearing the rain off the screen was because the rain was on the inside of the screen (Note to fair weather Wedgers. Get yer fecking fingers out next year)

Got down to the Chase around mid day, and the rain lifted.

Brilliant to catch up with some old mates and make some new ones.

The trip to the Motor Museum, for me, was the highlight of the fest. In fact it was the highlight of all the fests I've been to.

Then last night, great meal, good banter, and ELVIS.


I'd like to thank Mark for all his effort in arranging it.

Sorry I couldn't make the Drag racing, but I have had a good run up the M1 with a 370Z.

Hats off Mark what a cracking fest, best one I have ever been to. Nice friendly relaxed day with plenty of banter and laughs along the way. Great to catch up with old pals and meet some new ones also. There where some cracking wedges on display, CHappers that SX is just stunning, honestly a cracking motor. Wynn good as ever to catch you buddy, see you next year. Jim Burr you are a top guy, still laughing now. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes and copious amounts of whiskey. The hotel and the staff where first class again, even the weather god got his finger out to make it even better.

Till we all meet again, safe wedging , I am away to stick my head in the freezer.

Cheers Mark, well done. The chicken sacrifice didn't work until 12 when it stopped raining and the sun came out!

You did a really good job, Amy thought the food was great as did I so pass on our thanks to the Hotel. Many thanks to Elvis Wedgely for another great set in the evening.

The Tug Rope did get some small use on the way back - I picked up two bicycle wheels from an Ebay purchase in Northampton and had them on the parcel shelf sticking up with the tug rope tying them down ;^) maybe next year eh? It's all coiled up now and will be put away safe and sound.

I am so pleased to hear it was a great Fest.. But I am gutted I could not go! Now it's a whole year again before the next one!
Hopefully my Wedge will be back on the road this week. Just waiting for the new immobiliser to be fitted Tuesday.

Started a little iffy with bad weather conditions en route, but as soon as we were approaching Stratford the sun came out and made for a great day. Good to meet all of you guys and put faces to names.

The night was enjoyable to, it must have been, even the missus enjoyed being one of Elvis's backing group

Hi Peeps..Just got home!..Well the sacrifice seemed to of finally worked..The Saturday morning was horrendous but like true troopers people braved the monsoon and were rewarded with glorious sunshine...Unfortunately i didn't get time to take any pics but thanks to you there will be loads to be made use of..More about that later.

I would like to thank all of you for supporting this years BBWF as without you it wouldn't of happened..Most of it went to plan except i couldn't go to the museum as i had loads to do but I'm so pleased that you all enjoyed what i arranged for you..The Friday night meal was exceptional, Especially the slow roasted lamb..OMG that has got to be the best bit of lamb i have EVER had..Im still salivating..

Rob and Jimburr..Im still aching from laughing so much.."What did he say".....Rob that table was still there when i left..lol..Rob your MJ singing dancing impersonation was the funniest thing i have seen in ages..I nearly pi55ed myself...

A massive thank you to all of you who helped and an even bigger thank you to all of you who donated to the good cause..(Poppy appeal)... ..Seriously..The charity auction was a resounding success and i will post up the total figure as i have to take the museum payments out but i think its going to be a VERY tidy sum!..

It was a pleasure to meet new faces and always good to see the old ones..I know its only once a year that i see most of you but i ALWAYS look forward to it..

Thanks to Elvis for his performance and his new backing singers..As always a great performance.

It really touches my heart how kind, Helpful and genuine all of you really are.. It was a pleasure to arrange this years BBWF and I'm really pleased that you all enjoyed it.

Glen..Although it was sad about the silver machine i think the end result will be a good one..I actually forgot about the score smash kindly donated to me for some beers for you but if its ok with him i will put it in the pot.

Kevin..The Sebring is an amazing car..Im really pleased you brought it..Stunning...

For those of you who couldn't make it and ordered shirts & caps i will post them out to you this week, I will also order the ones that were ordered on the day.

The Hotel really pulled it off..The food was actually very good and at a good price..I will thank them next week.

Adam...I will get the Wedge personality award to you and well done for achieving it..Sorry for the boo boos that i made but i get a bit nervous in front of a crowd..Honest..
