Hope to meet up with some of you Southern boys soon....Andy

Let me just dig them out...2 mins...

Here we go...

Here are the generic settings for all Wedges:

The tracking should be set at 3.2mm toe-in +/- 1.5mm

Caster: 3.5 - 4.0 deg. pos.
Camber (F) 1.0 deg. neg.
Camber (R) 1.0 - 1.5 deg. neg.
Toe (in) (F) 0.50 deg.
Toe (in) (R) 2MM - don't know why MM not deg!

2mm on 15inch rims = 0.30 degrees = 18 minutes
2mm on 17inch rims = 0.27 degrees = 16 minutes
Either way it's just a smidge toe in.

15 inch rims 3.2mm toe gives 0.24 degrees wheel to vehicle center-line or 0.48 degrees wheel to wheel.

14 inch rims 3.2mm toe gives 0.26 degrees wheel to vehicle center-line or 0.52 degrees wheel to wheel.

For the front
toe is 3.2 +/- 1.5mm
camber is 0 +/- 1.2 degres (not adjustable anyway is it?)
caster is 31.2 +/- 0.5 degrees
KPI 6 degrees (Not sure what this is?
For the rear
toe is 4.5mm
camber is 0.5 +/- 0.5 degrees (this seems small as the wheels have a visible camber)

Hope this helps...Ziga

I think out of all the alternatives I have seen, this one stands up the best for rear light clusters, must be something to do with the crispness and depth of the holes and the round lamps keep the retro feel. Well-done.

Adi - the lights are from a Fiat GT Turbo Coupe. The lights themselves are installed into their respective cups that form the recess - its a single unit with a pair of cups/lights installed. What I did was to chop out and separate each cup from the unit and chopped it so it would sit nicely into the holes I cut into the old wedge lamp. The old lamp unit was stripped, cut and bonded into place and then filled, sanded and shaped to what you see in the pic.

The cups were angled to suit what I thought was the best look for my car although they can angled to suit your taste. You need to watch out as the cups have different lengths so make sure you pair them up for each side otherwise you will end up with 2 different light clusters either side. If you're ok with bodywork it is a relatively straight forward job, If not it will be awkward and fiddly and you will need patience and an eye for detail. The best way I guess is to to get a mould made up by a GRP specialist...

Based on my own experience the only part of the Wedge lamp unit I would use next time would be the corner section. I would use this as the base to finish of the rear wing which I did on my car - this was cut from the main unit. I would GRP the remaining gap and discard the rest of the light unit. The gap should filled before cutting out the holes is situ for the cups. The cups would then be bonded into place with GRP or filler.

I wanted a flush look so I filled over the lips of each cup and then blocked it out to get the final shape. Again you might like the cups with the rebate look in which case the cups would need to sit proud of your rear wing.

I took the view that I was doing something unique for my car so I made it up as I went along so hopefully you will benefit from my experience if you have a go..

Drop me a line if you need any more info. By the way the reverse lights are made by Hella...

So did I understand correctly that you bonded the rear light lenses in place with holes in them for the cups? My lenses are fairly flush with the bodywork. If that's the case what did you use as body filler over the lenses?

I had a look at the Fiat rear end and I understand the basics of what you mean. Did you cut a section from a Fiat at the scrapyard? If so, how much did the light units cost you?

Yes I filled over the rebates to get a flush finnish. I got my lights off eebay. The orginals have a reverse and rer fog - I got another rear fog so they could both match with the indicators..

I wonder what the legal position is... the car was type approved with the Fuego light clusters. If you get rear-ended and then the first party finds out the brake lights are modded, they might be a bit reluctant to pay out?

Just wondering.
