+1...You don't need a switch..Plus its always best to have the battery disconnected whilst working on the pods..Maintenance includes using some electrical lube on the connectors for the lights and the regular greasing of armature and pivot bolts..I have also started to spray WD40 on the motor brackets...

I fitted a battery cut off switch - very easy to install. Saves the battery from going flat plus its ideal to use when doing stuff like headlights etc.
Plus 1 on the battery isolator switch, ive got one tucked under my dash on the drivers side, great for when you park up and leave the roof off
