I was surprised that the two 5ltr chims [one on each side of me] were a bit softer spoken than the little 3.9ltr Wedge, bring it on -- Loud n Proud.

It is interesting comparing cat and non cat tunes when they are side by side. The V8S I always thought had a different sound again and for some reason I preferred that over the cat Chim at the time, what the hell the real difference was I do not know. And not forgetting the octopus wrestling contest that is the exhaust. But then we have a difference in the wedges though they did leave the factory type approved so should be OK.........

Ive always wondered why its such as twisted route out the back, the old silver beastie has 2 straight pipes from the manifold, one down each side under the seat area, a simple hump to go over the rear DS then out the back, a lot neater I thought

As / when look at the 420SE exhaust as its a bit of a bitsa / make do affair right now im going to seriously look at a better route

Getting around the diff and suspension on the wedge methinks. There was at least 2 (?) SEAC with side pipes and did I dream it or was there a warning sticker "Beware, exhaust blast" or something?

I recall chasing NACAD through Mulsanne Village a few years ago on "Mad Friday", he had side pipes and all he could hear was my exhaust Big bore and straight through is the way to go

We considered going for a 3pm sound off and trying to get a shot of every car in the row but wasn't sure if the Hospital folk would have been too keen.

Yourselves and the American boys did a good job. Even if we did get the credit for it on twitter!

There was a comment after Duxford mania that one of the highlights were the big wedges giving it some beans when they started the runway "dash".....

I assume that was from one of the marshals at the start.
