Practical classics have an article in their newest issue covering various wedge shaped cars including a rather nice white 350i.

The jist of the article was that they reckon that wedge shaped cars prices are about to rise quite a bit!

Me too, there was one for sale not so long ago by a bloke who had a later and an earlier one. They are so retro cool it hurts, but I suspect a nightmare to maintain to any reasonable standard, though you might get anyone who had a ZX81 and understanding of "basic" to reset the dash for you

The white 350i in Practical Classics is mine. Its certainly not a bad example!! Few improvements needed but getting there! The photo shoot was at Rockingham and it was a great day despite the inclement weather!! The rain didn't give up all day! I still had the roof down all day though! Danny Hopkins certainly liked the car and I struggled to get the keys back off him!! He went to get sandwiches from the shop 5 minutes away and was gone nearly an hour!! The 350i certainly comes out favourably in the comparison!! The Lotus and Lagonda were both rather amusing though! The sheer size and complexity of the Lagonda was amazing!! The Lotus was properly seventies tastic with the gold and brown interior!! Drove nicely and sounded good as well. All in all a good day out and good publicity for the wedges!!

There was another shoot going on at the same time for nineties coupes!! All the usual suspects were present of course!! Wonder when Practical Classics will be brave enough to run the article?

I already have one nightmare to maintain, a Lagonda would be even worse. Sometimes I think it best for dream to remain dreams, that way they don't become nightmares.

I had a shock when I saw this, I used to own white 350i D440 AEO, similar registration to the one in the feature
