Discussion
Okay, confused. I thought there were 25 350SE's built but this one claims to be 26?

Hi All
I've been to see Steve and his car today. Short of finding a SEAC project for 5 grand :-) this car has more potential than any other Wedge in need of love I have seen. To be honest if my Wife wasn't being such a ***** it would be mine by now!
The body work looks very good, but hard to tell due to dust. Interior very good. Two yes two sets of SE wheels and tyres. Hood looks good. Windscreen no delamination.
The engine is toast the block I'd cracked. So it will be a none original numbers car. But I suppose a lot are by now.
The chassis looks good and apart from repainting some of it A frames etc and probably doing the rear bushes all looks good. Front suspension has been rebuilt all new and it has new Princess calipers fitted.
The car has been raced and sprinted. Has an updated anti roll bar etc fitted.
Steve is asking no money at all for it really.
If the paint is as good as I suspect this would be one of the best se's I've seen so far
I'm still tempted to get it and prepare for the war that will follow.
Karl.

It says the engine is scrap?...I thought it was being rebuilt...I remember reading about it last year on here..Shame..Why is the engine beyond repair?...Ziga
ZigThe original engine suffered an oil pump failure mid lap of a race. Steve sent the engine away for a rebuild but the block was cracked.
I don't think it will be coming my way due to the amount I have on at home and at work. (As Mrs Yates pointed out yesterday!)
It will be a cracking car though once done. One of the best coloured SE's for sure.
Karl.

Thanks Karl...What a shame....looks like its a case of.."When is a rare limited edition not a rare limited edition" Anyhow it still needs saving!...ZigaThe original engine suffered an oil pump failure mid lap of a race. Steve sent the engine away for a rebuild but the block was cracked.
Hi does anyone have any contact details for Steve ?
I've tried e mailing through e bay with no response.
Is the chassis etc that good and any history on it ?
How flexible on price is he ? i'm intrested as it will be cheaper than ploughing money into the one i already have waiting to be started on stashed down on a farm.
Waiting for your comments.
