On the hunt for some seat bits

The frames on mine are shot and until I can persuade Ade to sell me his lol I wondered if anyone has a drivers side seat mech?

Mine is seized solid :-(

Planning ahead to refurb the original ones over winter

(Or if a pair of seats pop up with knackers covers but sound frames I'd be up for that)

Frames are repairable if you mean the usual tube cracking. There is a thread I started earlier this year with a few before and after pics. Is the adjuster (recliner I assume) just seized, or actually broken. I had a breakage on mine a few years ago, and managed to do a tiny bit of welding etc. which has lasted well. Stripping the seats down though may give you the urge to get them refurbed biggrin

Ooo I'll look for that

I guess I could try to strip the mech down after a good soak in wd40

The frames have snapped, previously welded, snapped again by the looks of it then jubilee clipped then welded onto of them so proper nasty, wouldn't just be a strip and weld it would be alot more involved

Guess I could take me time and plod along

A worthwhile mod. is to swap the twin seat runners for the ones used on the Maestro: same hole positions so drop straight on but the Maestro ones have a link bar between the two and each of them is latched, unlike the TVR version - so the seat can squirm around.

This was my Esprit seats modified the same way. Simple matter to cut a short piece out of the link bar and reweld. You can also invert the link bar so the angle on it better suits the seat.
