Where to get a throttle cable ???

Anyone know of a supplier for a throttle cable for a 390 ?

Or anyone got a spare please ?

I fitted a moped clutch cable (nylon lined), it is still working about 20 years later.

If it's just the very end that's snapped off you can quite often re-solder the nipple on and use it again.

If it's the pedal end quite often TVR didn't deburr the hole in the pedal that the cable goes through, so round off the edges with a needle file before replacing the cable. Or else it will happen again.

I got mine from Top Gear Automotive (TGA) in Wolverhampton. I don't know where it was actually made but it was custom fit for a wedge.

Hi Ian...Just as an experiment..Try putting two long cable ties..(Or two tied together = 4) around the ECU plug holding it to the ECU..It might be nothing but i had this symptom and this has cured it...(Thanks to Chris)...Cheers...Ziga

I imagine you could send the sorry collection of raggy bits to Speedy Cables and they'd make you a spiffy new one for less than the cost of a back-alley hand shandy... I imagine
