I haven't tried swapping the seats, but I used to find that the adjuster could end up in an intimate place when climbing in, and thought that it would be an advantage to have that lever inboard...
In all these years I must have developed my technique because the adjuster hasn't been a pain in the arse for quite a while!

My adjuster is in the ashtray. In all these years I must have developed my technique because the adjuster hasn't been a pain in the arse for quite a while!
It must have been sat on so many times over the years that mine broke off and I havent plucked up the nerve to get it welded back on again (being a bit paranoid about heat+wedges lol)

Ditto, alas. Mind you the previous owner was a gentleman of, shall we say, the fuller figure so I blame him... the fat b4st4rdIt must have been sat on so many times over the years that mine broke off and I havent plucked up the nerve to get it welded back on again (being a bit paranoid about heat+wedges lol)

Tried welding it a couple of times but it's quite thick and I evidently didn't get enough penetration as it's snapped off again both times.
You do have to strip the seat quite a long way before you wave a MIG torh at it...
They do swap over ok in a wedge as mine were swapped when I bought the 420
They were swapped as the seat frame was snapped so previous owned swapped them to pass the mot
Got back and forward and recline ok
I'm still trying to sort my seats out and want to rebuild the originals or get a sound pair of frames for a cover swap

Ah ok mate, Thanks for clearing that one up...Im having a different sewing machine delivered tomorrow..(Walking foot) so hopefully my learning as regards to the trimming will continue instead of struggling with the wrong machine..Im planning on doing an exchange service with complete interiors..Including seats but the exchange pair must be in good nick...I may even make the covers to order with fitting instructions...Hopefully onwards and upwards...Cheers..ZigaThey were swapped as the seat frame was snapped so previous owned swapped them to pass the mot
