Kathunk, the noise my car made at it entered the morrisons filling station. Gave me a bloody fright!

Now the rear passenger wheel sits inside the arch. Still drives, but rubs when going round corners. One of my uni mates called it "stanced". I have more tyre in my arch than most lowered volkswagens.

Only fixed the wiring for the cts a week ago laugh

The wedge is on the naughty spot until I can be bothered removing the wheel to see whats wrong. Someone commented that it was sitting a bit lower at one side a few days before!

Either that or the bolt that the spring + shock goes onto - the one through he hub carrier.

Or maybe the hub nut has come off and the wheel is dangling on the spline - so could fall off at any point!

I has a rear bearing destroy itself and the rear wheel canted over quite badly - another possibility.

I had a lower balljoint pull itself apart on my Tasmin; before it failed completely it did rather alter the way the car 'sat' (in fact the bottom arm was rubbing on the inside of the wheel rim).

Also had the inboard pivot bush of the lower arm disntegrate; that caused the tyre to scrub horrifically but didn't seem to alter the car's attitude noticeably.

If none of the above then take good look at the diff carrier, mine had similar issues on a 400 I used to have back in the day
