Coil Chim style?

Has anyone done this? pros and cons! heat vs king lead lenth? origanality vs engine bay looks? king lead from range rover is the right lenth. Just been reading a post on HT leads and im a motor factors/the best deal man. 350SE so origianality is a little pit important to ME. your thoughts please?

It doesn't take long to make up a new king lead - less time than moving the coil?

It must be said that the original coil eartch strap is pretty pathetic - I have added a much thicker one.

Having fitted a 500 Serp engine I left the coil fitted to engine. given the engine bay temps and that I have now completed 4000 miles I can confirm no problems or loss of performance

I think its the practical solution to having to buy an extra long king lead...
