I can see all the wires under my steering wheel should there be a cover that hides them

Other than the actual cowl that goes round it there is no other cover that I know of.

Mine has a carpet cover fitted. It has a cut out that fits over the bonnet release and then is shaped to hide all the cables and tucks in at the back of the underside of the dash. Cheap and nasty but seems to do the job and looks tidier than the bare cables.

The easiest solution is of course, the famous cable tie.....You can get undo-able ones, which are more useful.

Just stuff them up out of the way. This method has worked for me for the last 17 years !!

The 390 didn't have anything from new (1985).

Count yourself lucky - on mine the flap with the ECU flops down, a few months ago the bairn put his feet on it, nudged the multiplug and the car cut out! Must get that sorted out...

Nope, never had a cover, it would rattle around or flop down anyway and add weight.

Thats happened to me a few times...I ended up putting some cable ties round so the plug is held into the ECU...You just reminded me of another job....

Whoops...Forgot to say that my wires are exposed as well under the steering but they are cable tied up and you only see them from floor level...Ziga
