White Wall Tyres ???
Discussion
My Wedge is bright red and I was wondering how white wall tyres would look. There is a company near Birmingham that fits them professionally. Apparently they are not paint, but a long lasting rubberised material. They can do various widths. Once my car comes out the paint shop, it's something I'm considering. However, my wedge hasn't even gone in for the paint yet as the paint shop is behind schedule, so it looks like February now. Opinions on white walls please ?

Yea white picked out letters maybe, but even that's bit '70s/'80s so right period for the car but today? Not sure.
Whitewalls look good on some period Yank Tanks as Mark has said but they look a bit odd on European cars I think.
Try cutting some whitewalls out of paper and see what you think. Letters you can try on a temporary basis with some Tipp-Ex

Wow! What a response. Though not quite what I was expecting. Well, there is nothing wrong in using a bit of imagination to get the desired look.
I like Adams' idea the best. He definitely has good taste. White walls, dice, air horns. I actually have a set of alternating Maserati air horns in my garage in working condition. Mmmmmm
I think Dave is regretting selling the Wedge to me by the day, on hearing what I'm considering.
Don't worry Dave, I won't do anything drastic, at least not without the approval of majority fellow Wedgers.
Now thinking about it, the theme is red and black. All the badges and stripes I'm supplying the paint shop are black and so are the CB covers. Maybe white wall tyres is going a bit overboard. I'll reconsider once the car is back from the body shop in near perfect condition. I say 'near' because it will only be a partial respray. I can't wait for it all to be finished and the weather to improve for some serious wedging.

That looks cool. It's definitely growing on me, though I'm a bit worried, dice that big might obstruct my view. Also I'd think twice about driving down Tottenham High Street as this somewhat resembles the Arsenal colours. Stasky and Hutch fans would be pleased though. Good work Adam. Now I know we both have good taste.Tony. TCB.

....Anything pre-1950's yeah cool..White writing on the tyres enhancing the make and size maybe... Or painted black gloss....
- waste of money too.
