I have removed one of the mounting rubbers that hold the body to the chassis (drivers footwell, near the center tunnel)mounting plate. The bolts seems to have a collar on it, albeit rusted on and a rubber grommet type thingy that sits through the bodywork, then the bigger rubber mounting washer underneath.
Are these rubbers available does anyone know?

Thanks.

That looks like the rubber, I think the bolt is probably standard but with a color seized on it.

I cant think where I got those from but they are very similar to Austin mini front tie bar washers which my lad says are obtainable.

This is the original, a little knackered and rusty!

The mini ones look slightly different but might just do the job.

The same ones are used at the chassis rear, through the boot floor.

It wouldn't take a lot of science to make some with some thick rubber sheet, rubber tube, a set of hole punches and some super glue, its all available.

eek Are you mad!? DIY engineering on a TVR? Sacrilege! Surely the correct part has to be sourced at all costs, having called every specialist in the known universe and finding the one factory in Fu Manchu province that still makes them, albeit from chewed-up elastic bands and panda spit, then having to buy a minimum quantity of 500 million... no, the only option is to break the car for spares and sell the chassis to a Dutchman for his kit car.

Are you mad??? Actually _buy_ rubber sheet and tube? What's wrong with cutting up a well-used Yokohama AVS with an angle grinder first thing on a sunday morning in your back garden, swearing a lot after inadvertently grinding your thumb, and using that?

You guys are just not perfectionists are you: These are precision built machines from an era were only the best was good enough and everything manufactured to the tightest of tolerances. To put anything other than the correct original equipment back onto them is criminal.

The mini tie rod bushes it is then wink

So long as you can get some of the smaller diameter of the rubber into the hole in the fibreglass.

As above... when I lifted the Gredge body and fitted the roll bar kit I fitted these all round with new bolts, stainless washers (cut to size) etc
