280i Wedge bits...

Hi Peeps...Went to pick up what i could from the black 280i that was mentioned on here ..The nosecone was cut off to facilitate a fellow Wedger who wanted the pods and motors...Bit harsh but the guy used to break cars and has no interest in TVR..


I will be removing the pods & Motors

This is all he wanted...

And guess what he intends to put over it....Wait for it.....A "Nissan Micra"..........
If anyone wants any of theses parts then please get in touch...You can have them if you collect them..You can bung me a bit of beer money but i'd rather them get used..Or they will be binned..

1. 280i Bonnet.
2. N/S door..Complete or glass..
3. Front bumper.
4. Front spoiler with a fog light mod.
5. A 280i original walnut dash..Only two very small cracks in really good condition.
6. A pair of seats..However these are rotten..The frames are salvageable ..I was thinking of stripping them down and rebuilding and recovering but if someone wants them as is then you can have them...The bottom bolsters are completely shot...






There may be some front suspension parts but i have to wait to see what happens when he tries putting the Jap shoebox on the chassis...He might just end up cutting that up as well..Strange..

Hi Zig Id be interested in the front suspension if it becomes available have a project myself .Need the whole lot including brakes ,hubs, calipers etc.

He reckoned its only a 20mm difference.....He said an old VW Beetle was too long... and at the moment he has a Citroen Saxo which he reckons is only 2mm longer.....But he did say that at the end of the day if none of of fits then he will give the engine to his mates who he sponsors to banger race and chop the chassis up and bin it....Apparently he has already chopped up a 350i...He did used to own a breakers yard so i guess he still loves breaking cars...Ang on..He didn't want the money that i offered him for the complete shell..£800 but was happy to get £50 for the pods......I think he just loves chopping things up!....Dont think ill go back there in case he has read this....

Wedge without the bodywork would be an experience. Bucket seat bolted to the chassis, full harness, minimalist control panel, shorty mudguards. Front-engined Atom for a 10th of the cost.

That would be awesome but i don't think he is that much of a visionary...As said he already chopped up a 350i..Didn't use any of it so it just got binned..These are the kind of people we need to keep the hell away from TVR's...Infact any classic cars full stop!...

Hi mate...There is only that one I'm afraid ..The other door got skipped as there was no window...Which was a sham as thats what i was going to keep..I did also want the door handles with keys..But hey ho..Gone...

I think these particular mirrors are from the mk2 and early mk3 Capri as i have seen them at the Ford garage....Cheers...Ziga
