Nothing to do with me but slightly tatty 200 is on flea. I think it's the first I've ever seen advertised. Looks good from a distance but obviously needs some work. Hopefully the lack of a V6 or V8 will prevent it being stripped for parts and someone will sort it out. If I had more space in my garage I'd buy it as a project.

Hmmm, I don't think the lack of a Vee will stop it being robbed of its chassis by Jonny Foreigner...

I near enough had that livery 200 back in the day, good days , short but sweet.
These were great little cars, I hope it doesn't get trashed.

"nice chap"
Zig you old charmer.

yeah it's mine , I will be sorry to see it go as I have had it for ages. But it needs someone who can spend a bit more time on the fiddly bits -interior , wirey bits , roof (£) , bit of touching up of the paint etc etc. I take it into the city to work when the sun is out but for the rest of the time it sits unused , I feel bad every time I walk/drive past it ( especially with the lights up , it looks even more mournful - please use me).

Darylglynn, before you sell your car could you do me a favor and take some photo's of the engine bay and specifically the engine mounts? My 200 currently has a V6 fitted and I'm considering putting a pinto back in it.

Cheers PK, does yours have two uprights and engine mount plinths on the chassis? If so which if the engine sitting on, the front or rear set?

Just won a pinto on eBay for peanuts so happy about that.

Pic of my 200. It uses the mount to the left in the picture.

I bought some MK2 Escort rally mounts. The rubber is slightly harder and they are a little thinner so the engine sits slightly lower.

Perfect, thanks very much for that. I take it only the 200's had the double upright tubes on the chassis? I've just noticed the small diameter bracing on the cross member has been removed on mine...

Yes I think so. I believe they took a v6 chassis and modified it with the extra tubes & mountings. I'm not sure this was even done before the powder coating, as it looks on mine like they were painted afterwards.

Not sure which tube you are referring to but could it have been removed for the exhaust of the V6?

200 Tasmin is back on flea. Sold less than a month ago for £1612, now up for sale via a dealer for £2250. It looks like no work has been done on it apart from dropping the headlight pods down.
