(Thanks, Neil, You were quick off the mark <G>.)

I've been away ... no, not in prison (although sometimes it seemed like it!), I've been somewhat ill.

Anyway, I'm on the mend, so apologies to everyone who has e-mailed me and to whom I haven't replied. My Inbox was continually overflowing and I hadn't the energy to wade through it.

Sadly, my enforced 'down-time' has adversely affected my finances and so the Wedge is going up for sale. It will be on eBay and here on PH this evening. Ah, well ... as they say ... it was nice while it lasted. Fortunately the car has been exercised at least once a week, so it's running well.

I'll be wading through back postings ASAP and corresponding here and in SP&L soonest.

I'm also interested in LED replacement bulbs.
On Streaky's site he mentions the bulbs are "LEDs with BA7 bases"
Google came up with the links below.
The angle of light projected will be important.
I don't know if the instrument lightling needs a narrow beam of light out of the top of the bulb or if they need wide angle to work well.
Best thing to do is buy one and try it.
Let me know how you get on.

Mate!

Glad you are OK! Wildy and self did wonder what had happened to you! She thought you must have been ill - and we know what illness and being under the weather is all about!

Wildy missed your caustic humour as well. She does not know you by face and voice - but she did worry about you.

By the way - you may not have got to the e-mail yet - but.. kitten number 5 arrived safe and well. Has a very healthy set of lungs, is not breeding out as she loves a fast settling drive at night! At moment youngest is deafiening the whole household - why I am surfing at this ungodly hour!

Keep well! Great to see you on here again anyway!

Cheers

Ted (and Wild Cat) glad to hear your news. We stopped at 2 (one of each) when I found out what was happening. Since uprooting the mulberry bushes, there has been no further occurance. Coincidently, the milkman retired at the same time.

Re instrument LEDs, the UltraLEDs site is the right one. I've had really great service from the guy who runs it. The LEDs look great in the car too.

Streaky do you know if the instrument lightling needs a narrow beam of light out of the top of the bulb or if they need a wide angle to work well?
The image linked below seems to show a bulb with an inverted cone reflector on the top which would spread the light sideways. Is this what works best?
