Yep, sounds about right smile

The swirl pot is intended to de-aerate the fuel so there are no air bubbles in it before the fuel pump chucks it up front. In some ways it's a poor implementation as (a) the design means there's not much swirling going on and (b) ideally it'd also take the return line from the fuel rail. On the Wedge it just collates both tanks, has a small internal mesh filter (that you obviously can't get at to change) and provides a path for any stray air bubbles to get back into the left-hand tank.
You could probably throw it away and just have a T-piece in there with a blank on the air bleed and never notice any difference.

I always thought the basic principle was to stop any surging of fuel supply under heavy cornering.
Nice alloy replacements are available for about 90-100 squid (replaced mine many years ago for an alloy one from RT), but as Wedge1 says would probably work without.

That's a fair point, I guess if you were low on fuel you could end up pulling in air as all the fuel is thrown to one side...

Got mine from RT Racing a few years back - possibly about £70 then.

RT and ML Performance parts have them in stainless steel, in two models depending on inlet pipe size. 100 squid each.

As well as getting rid of bubbles in the fuel it also serves as a small reservoir for the fuel pump when cornering. To stop the pump running dry.
