Launched at the same time as the Griff they said that they'd build the one which got the most orders. The Griff only won because it was cheaper

It was a prototype and had no roof. The White Elephant was in another corner, as well as the mad S Cosworth that was too powerful for its chassis. Probably a sort of prototype museum (in other words a filled shed ;-)
As mentioned before, the Griffith (like that as well and next TVR to join the wedge, if I win the lottery) had a lot more interest and the rest is history. And it saved/helped TVR for another couple of years as we know.
