well, it's been a while

Took the wedge for a pre-MOT check last September and failed emissions badly, likely suspects worn valve seals in cylinder heads, allowing oil into the combustion process. I must admit to the occasional burnt oil smell ands bit of blue kit coming out of the zorst.

Off with his heads!! And off to a local engineering company for reconditioning, took blooming months to do, apparently the heads were in a bit of a state but fair play they did a cracking job on them, apparently the heads are "not standard"?? so had problems getting certain components, okay whatever you say.

Heads back, back on car, new lifters as apparently a few were toast....

Put it back together, poor oil pressure, so sump off, new oil pump, new spring, sump clean up, put back together again, oil pressure fine, but still a metallic tapping noise on top....

Engine apart again, wrong head gaskets supplied, bore slightly too small hence Pistons were kissing them...

Heads off again, proper gaskets fitted....

All now sweet and lovely, oh and MOT passed....

Let's hope there's a little Summer left?
