She goes like a maniac......wow

After my final job being to fit a new dizzy I don't have any timing gear so popped down to David Gerald TVR and they set everything up for me

Wow what a difference, I can't believe the performance now.....it's that good I may just keep her lol

I picked my car up from DR yesterday afternoon and saw the Humbug in all its glory. Looking pretty good (hope that's enough for a good commission).

I might get to the Bulz Ed tomorrow. Aiming for about 12:30 hope to see you there.

Grrrrr. Don't talk to me about timing........

Green 350i Wedge was running fine but with new PowerSpark dissy that would only run at TDC rather than 8 degrees before TDC so rebuilt old dissy with new ignition amp - swapped this afternoon and it didn't work - no spark at all, so tried second dissy from new acquisition (yes I bought Smash's 390SE, stunning and another thread in the future) but spare dissy with that wouldn't run, so eventually popped PowerSpark dissy back in, and you guessed it - that now doesn't run either.

FFS, a job I thought would take 15 minutes took all afternoon and now the Wedge won't run. Very pee'd off. Green 350i is not feeling the love! It's my birthday weekend and I really could do without the stress. Bah humbug.

Bah humbug lol

Maybe the green wedge caught a cold from smash's ???

@zig, if you call powerspark and explain what you have they will advise on the correct

Few people on here like me have had great results but a few folk like Keith have also struggled.....I'd like to say it was my engineering prowess lol but I very much doubt it lol

Hi Keith...Thats a real pi55er mate..Just out of interest did you change the ignition amp and coil?...So you bought the 390SE....Well if you wanted to know what its like to own a basket case then you should of asked...I had one for 3 years...hehe
Seriously though...DONT put a carb on it FFS...Take your time and be methodical...Its a frazzled wire somewhere i reckon...Or bad earths...Either way its a stunning rare beast...Happy birthday if its today....party

Hi folks,

bought a power spark dizzy and it didn't work really well. The original I bought from Simon is far better.

Cheers
