350i Rear shock pivot bolts and bushes

Good day gents,
I'm changing the rear shocks on my 350i over here in the states and need some help. The long bolt that goes through the casting and lower A arm is froze in the bushings (turns in the upright).
Who sells the bolts and bushings on your side of the pond?
The 280i's over here have the swing arm suspension so 350i stuff isn't available.
If no one sells the bolts would someone give me the specs so I can have it made please.

Hi Charlie...Not sure exactly who sells them but I'm sure someone will know...I think i will need to replace mine also as i remember i was going to replaced them but one of them is seized...
RTR might have them..This might help if you are doing it...

As Mark says Richard Thorpe Racing should stock everything. Bradderz replace the full suspension in his A frame car and got all parts from there.

As said, RT Racing is the place to go. I had the same on my 350 years ago, could't remove it myself, and even someone with access to air tools struggled, although was eventually successful. Good luck with it.

The bolts are no problem, standard 1/2" UNF on mine. My bushes were OK (destroy the bolt and not the bushes when using 'suitable force') - I remember that Wedg1e spent many happy(!) hours trying to trace the source of the bushes without luck.

I'm sure some parts was 1/2" and some 12mm, it's worth using a 1/2" drill and make them all the same (1/2) is bigger. and use 1/2" bolts. they are quite easy to get as non coated. but try and get coated if you can, or use lots of copper slip. as they do seem seize and rust.

Hi gents,
I have sent several emails to RTR to get pricing on the bushes I'll have to destroy to change my rear shocks and haven't gotten any reply at all. Does anyone know if they are closed or just don't like to talk to us on the other side of the pond?

Hey Mark,
That would be great. I need a set of bushings to do the rear A arms. I can get bolts over here with no problem. Just changing out the shocks and at least one of the bolts is frozen in place.

They would have to have US liability insurance in place to supply. So you might have to ask one of us to buy for you and post it on.

Does anyone know if the inner bushing and the outer are the same size? and are they the same as the one on the rear of the 280i by chance (not remembering if the swing arm on the 280i even has a bushing on the inner).
