Just booked the 350i in to have some exhaust work done.. going to be slightly louder afterwards - may even try the DB shootout at NG and also hopefully wont be the quietest wedge at future BBWF's

Dom, see you and your noisier Wedge next Saturday then - might be in the 350i as misfire appears to be down to knackered wiring on loom. New loom section has been made up and so far no more misfire......

Cheers

Keith

As I didn't make it last year I'm hoping to get along on Saturday.
What time does it kick off and do I have to 'book' a place?
Cheers
Tim

Hi Tim, the gates open at 10.00am. There's a bunch of us meeting 9.30am at the Starbucks just off junction 9 on the M5 and travelling down from there. We will probably be there around 10.45. Cheers. Keith

Hi Keith, thanks for the info.
your stop for coffee is unfortunately in the opposite direction for me - I live just off 11a M5. How are you continuing - M5 to Stroud then Ciren, or 11a and A417 to ciren? I could tag along with the convoy either way.
Shame it seems you wont be able to make it in your wedge frown
See you Saturday
Tim

Hi Tim, last year we went M5 to 11a then up to the Air Balloon and A417. If we leave handy at 9.30 then I reckon we will be passing the Golden Heart pub at about 9.50. Is it worth you parking up in the lay-by on the left just past the roundabout where the A417 goes to dual carriageway?

Cheers Keith

Tim, should be three TVR's passing your lay-by at 9.45 tomorrow plus a black diesel BMW estate - that will be me!

Hi Keith it sounded so promising yesterday too!
I think the lay by you are referring to is a bit further along the dual carriage way than you think, I know this because this is where a Police camera van snapped me doing considerably more than the speed limit about three weeks ago curse
I'll see you there!
Tim

Tim, YHM. Just private messaged my mobile number to you - just in case.

I'm the one driving the TVR "support vehicle". Emptied the Wedge boot of tools and water container and stuck them in the boot of the BMW - just in case anyone breaks down! "Support vehicle" sounds way better than "Failed to fix my censored Wedge so had to come in the diesel hack".

Evening all.

Well, what a great day. Great to see some fellow wedgers - Keith, Tim and Glen
Lots of TVRs made an appearance at NG, I even gave the DB Shootout a go after having the rear silencer removed from the 350i this morning.
A little dissapointed with the DB result but I can confirm the pops and bangs are no longer muffled..

some of the pics..

Yes a great day, stunning weather and good to catch up. Took a few photos. Can you guess who owns the red Sag then?!

Here is Dom showing off his new and slightly noisier exhaust:
