Hi All, just an update. Still can't start my truck. Getting really fed up now. Put new coil and ignition amplifier on. Checked thermotime switch and coolant temp sender. Checked timing, leads, plugs, cap etc.OK. Not much left to check now. Drowning myself in a good bottle of wine. Any ideas? ...........UG

Go back to basics -
Take plugs out - remove coil HT lead at dizzy - hold close to block - ignition on - crank by hand - is there a fat spark and is it close to TDC.
NO - concentrate on ignition circuit.
Yes - Replace coil HT lead back in Dizzy - hold NO1 HT lead close to block - is there a fat spark close to NO1 TDC.
NO - concntrate on Dizzy.
YES - double / double / treble check it is on firing stroke. (it is possible to fit dizzy 180 out - it will seem OK and pop and bang but not start)
If all OK then concentrate on fuel
Pump running ?
Pressure in fuel rail ?
Plugs wet after failed attenmpts ?
If ignition OK & fuel supply OK then concentrate on injectors / circuit / air supply.
The above is not comprehensive just trying to emphasise the logical approach - eliminate one element at a time - etc.
