Think I have found my old 1982 2 litre wedge in Hamburg via an American petrolhead website.
http://hooniverse.com/2013/02/02/weekend-edition-1...
It was FCC 38Y when I owned it between 1990 and 1995. Still looks good. Even both headlamps have gone up together hence the 9900 euro price tag on it.
Also found my old 1969 TVR Vixen VYR 7G on pistonheads looking infinitely better now than it did when I had it on the road in the early 80's
Wonder if the more modern TVR's will fare as well?

Great pics brt1138. You've also, I think, answered a question I had reference the headlights. Mine do not have any chrome rings around the edge covering the adjusting screws etc. The pic on your post also shows the headlights with no chrome surround. Therefore am I right in assuming that there was no chrome covers fitted on the headlight's as standard? Or can they be fitted? Thanks for any replies. John C.

Hi John...I have only ever seen black plastic rings on the Wedge..And yes they can be fitted, Check around the headlight unit and if there is 2-3 holes drilled either side of the lamp then thats where they go...If not a drill will sort that out...smile

I have a GRP one that I'm intending on taking a mould from somewhere....I always thought they were either Mini or MG?

https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=...
The holes on the Wedge ones are at an angle although my guess was that they were straight originally and plastic being fantastic and all that....smile

Not sure if these fit though as i have never needed to buy any.....Cheers...Ziga

Hi Ziga. I've not examined mine for holes, it was just an observation from brt1138's pics. Work's IT won't let me access your link for headlight surrounds but guess they're 7" BL units. Black would be better if fitted I think? Cheers J C.

Hi, i've got two sets of these rings. Black ones came with car, and chrome ones with a pair if pods i got last year (remember mark?)
Not much help, but it appears to be a lucky dip or original customers choice perhaps?

I think I have photo's of it before the UK plates came off. I'll try to find them. I seriously considered buying it before the Germans got hold of it.

Well the way i see it is I'm doing my bit for the environment.. 1 x Tumbler of a good scotch = 20 pints of regular beer so my footprint on the carpet to the bar is 19 times less than the next man...Which means less wear on the carpet and less wear on my shoes which in turn means less material being taken from the planet...Simples....smile

So...If you want to save the planet drink more scotch.....drunk

Ah, but what about the ozone layer? Whiskey fumes are lighter than air therefore reach the ozone layer quicker. Beer fumes are heavier than air. This fact I have personal experience of when I fell over, or perhaps pushed? laugh J C.

scratchchin...Sounds suspiciously like you were pushed....Now then the waste from the Whiskey is as you say but it also has a cleansing effect being alcohol so cleans as it goes..However beer fumes are heavily contaminated yeast particles which are fungi that contain bacteria that will thrive in a warm..Moist environment..Like a bog...

One of my ex GF's used to drink beer...

BEER FART = 0......WHISKEY FART = 10

(0 being the point of repulsion and 10 being the point of compulsion)

As you can see the difference was dramatic and the benefits were...Well shall we say "Refreshing"......laugh

No i used to love a Guinness but i can only drink sugar that has turned to alcohol now....

Ziga, this post has in some way strayed from its origins? confused However I must add gas is gas. In my time in Scotland (4 years) my work mates tried to wean me onto Whiskey. It was the smell I couldn't hack. eek Nice pic' of the Tasmin though. I wonder how many Wedges were exported to the EU/US? J C.
