Don't know...Yet but while the transmission tunnel cover is off you may as well treat yourself to a proper set of Wedge Gear and hand brake gaiters...Made from the original fitment and contain all the other bits that you won't get anywhere else...smile

Got some nice dark blue leather for beer tokens....

Hi have a look at the Rimmer bros website for the gear lever gator for a TR7
Part number YKC4040.

It looks just like that from the shape of the rubber but turned round to fit the transmission tunnel on the wedge.

£16.00 inc vat.

If it's not that i'd be surprised as the Lt77 was fitted to the TR7.

while you are in the area check your remote bushes, as you'll have access

Thanks for the speedy replies guys. Zig your quick off the mark but my gear gaitor is ok. Its not TR7 either as that was one of my early searches. It looks similar but the base is round as apposed to square so wont cover the transmission hole. New remote bushed have been purchased because mine are shot and i will be taking advantage of this to do it.

Hi mate...Funnily enough i was trying to find this out a couple of weeks back for a friend...The only ones that came close were Mini...And Land rover defender but the defender one would need cutting down which might of been the case with the TVR original...Whatever that was from...I have checked all the cars with LT77 gearboxes but as usual come to a dead end...Probably a Ford item or an old BL truck.....

MINI

Hi there the four speed box gaitor is round, but the 5 speed box is the same shape on the base and a completely different part number.

I've just checked the rimmer bros website again.

If it isn't TR7 then i don't think that you will get much closer. !!

It won't be land rover as they have two holes one for the gear stick and one for the diff lock lever.

I will visually check a defender one as i have a brand new one for my defender down the farm that hasn't been fitted yet.
The only problem is that i won't be down there till tomorrow.

Apparently based on the part number it's ford sierra, but you can't get them anymore !

Anyone confirm that the TR7 one fits ?

Yeah...Mine has a split also..I did look all the while i was re-trimming but couldn't find anything...Thats why I'm wondering if its something like the defender type and has been cut to suit?...Possibly...

Just found this...Looks like it was a Ford Sierra MK1...

Which are now like rocking horse do do...
The search continues......

I still think that the defender hand brake gaiter cut from the whole part might work....

What about Fiat 500...

IMO it's not needed. You can use a cover made from vinyl before overlaying it with your gaiter. Works just as well - I still have my rubber cover somewhere which came from a Sierra....

You can repair small splits with bike inner tube and the repair glue for tubes.

Mine was shredded so I used a Sierra one. There are a few different types so choose carefully. Also the base needs trimming down and I added an aly plate to hold it down better.

The fiat looks close but it is too small. Needs to be 6" long and 5" wide. Even tried Douglas valley breakers and they have nothing even though they have a few wedges in. There must be something that will do it?

Hi all I investigated this last year as mine was shot. original was Sierra and Transit van based. I got a used VW gaiter from I think a T4. The base rubber flange needed cutting back but fitted great.

I guess its a case of finding something suitable until someone like TVR parts gets them made...

Maybe a Fiesta
https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=...

Or Datsun possibly
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DATSUN-240Z-260Z280Z-NIS...
Bit expensive though and it would need chopping down...The search continues.....
